yes that is absolutely true if calories are controlled that it makes a lot of sense but the average american eats between 500 and a thousand more calories than the resting energy expenditure requirement and so in an ideal world when you know you're in a metabolic ward or something like that i used to work in one everything is controlled they are in a bed watching tv getting their food delivered
