I can't even get anything, right?
So, but the reality is if we, I mean, we could duplicate anything in science, in a clinical study or a trial or a laboratory, but in real life and faced with food choices, most people are over-consuming everything.
total calories, and carbohydrates.
The average protein intake is around 80 grams a day.
That's average.
So 50% are above, 50% are below.
But roughly the average carbohydrate intake is around 300.
And that's almost three times more than we should be having, especially if we also recognize that the majority of people are sedentary.
50% of people aren't even working out.
Exactly.
And especially women.
Women are not doing resistance training.
So again, do we believe in a low carb diet?
I think it can be very valuable for individuals that have metabolic dysfunction, but is it necessary?
No, if calories are controlled.
Yeah, I mean, I think that the I think people like Kevin Hall and Don Lehman would say that that is it is more of a total caloric load than it is a total carbohydrate load, which would make sense.
Yeah, and that is a really good point.
When we think about the Healthy Eating Index, which is this survey data of what people are actually eating, Americans are consuming 98% more processed foods than they should be.
Processed foods, refined grains, and sugars.
We are not over-consuming protein.
