And it's so funny, like, I distinctly remember, like, the woman who sold me sunflowers when my dad was dying in hospice.
And she wasn't even at a flower store that was near the hospital.
And I was buying these sunflowers, and I was, you know, you're kind of always in an altered state of consciousness through those months.
Like, I think I hardly, I have no memory of that year, really.
But I always, you know, she said, oh, you know, just trying to, you know, who are the sunflowers for?
Thinking that they must have been for a boyfriend, or, you know.
I said, they're for my dad, and she said, oh, that's unusual.
And she said, yeah, well, he's in hospice.
And she just, she just like, this was just a florist, just a florist.
But she was like the most important person for me in that moment.
Cause she just kind of locked eyes for me and just kind of was like, I have been there.
I'm here for you right now.
I know exactly what it is.
And the flowers are not going to heal him, but I know he's
I know where you are in your life, and that's all you need.
And it's kind of why I sometimes say that grief is another planet.
Because it's so difficult to describe that experience unless you've been there.
Yeah.
But on the other side, if you meet somebody, like I jokingly call it the dead dad club, but if I meet someone, I'm like, oh, you're a member of the dead dad club.
It's like, I get you.
