Um, but I think that's all dogs really need.

And so if you really want to give your dog a better life, I would skip the fancy buttons talking about clouds and their dreams and just try to focus on what behaviors your dogs are doing.

So a lot of this stems from people research.

So there's a lot of research on how we as humans understand other humans' emotions.

And that literature shows that we're actually not that good at that.

Yeah.

So I kind of just took all those ideas from the human literature and was like, if we're that bad at reading human emotions, I have an inkling that we're probably even worse at reading animal emotions.

So I really took the same ideas from people and just tried to apply them to animals.

yes oh my gosh so but still so many people are like at the zoo and they're like oh look at that chimpanzee it's smiling at me and i'm like hey please step away no it's it's basically saying i'ma bite you if you don't leave me alone yeah it's a threat it's a threat so how do we test this stuff how do we test how good we're reading and how good we are at reading animals in plain terms

So a lot of it is survey work.
