We treat learning as information transfer and brains as knowledge processes.

This computational model, dominant in policy, pedagogy, and workplace learning and development, ignores the biological realities of

of how humans actually learn.

Um and so we've we've sort of we've we've established there that there's some there's there's this disconnect.

In what we think we're doing here with this whole education thing.

We think about it as there's a curriculum, there's a national curriculum.

We have lots of debates about the canon and about what texts and what books should be in or out, and of myself and men got

cognitive load theory and so on.

And it's all about this this process of just getting the stuff into the children's long term memories.

And that absolutely is like that that that set of ideas has really seeped in.

Especially in the last ten years or so in England, with lots of support, lots of sort of fanfare, people saying, Oh, thank goodness we are finally we now have this knowledge rich curriculum and we're getting all of this rich knowledge, passing on the best of what has been thought and said into children's heads.

And so you're challenging that, right?

And you're saying that this is not that's not what this is.
