Yeah, it definitely does get easier.
I've been on a bit of a journey with this myself.
My partner in crime is Kate McAllister, and she runs like a barefoot unschool.
It's actually mentioned towards the back of your book.
She runs this barefoot unschool in the Dominican Republic, which is very much an embodied...
way of being the children, you know, if they self-regulate all the time and if they feel like they need to go and climb a tree, they go and climb a tree and then they come back and they can, you know, go to the loo whenever they want and so on.
They're not restrained in that way.
And she sort of talks a lot about when you ask people, like, how does this decision that you're unsure about, how does it feel in your tummy, say?
And if somebody's never thought about that before, they just go, what are you talking about?
That's not even a thing.
But the more that you start to develop a vocabulary and a sense of this interoception that you talk about throughout the book, that actually you start to develop a two-way stream of communication between your mind and your body, and you start to develop a sort of fluency.
And so I think I agree with you that it does become more natural as time goes on.
