If my coffee cup is a cell within a plant and we apply some type of seaweed to it, we have over 150 compounds in that seaweed.

They go across the leaf just like a herbicide would.

Yeah.

And they bind on to these receptors on the outside of the cell and they cause the inside of the cell to do something different.

So it binds onto receptor and most of them, not all things will actually change like how the genes regulate.

So those genes are what give us like how we mitigate stress.

So you put a burner herbicide on, right?

And you look at like a seaweed or you put a seaweed compound on and you have a drought and all of a sudden we're like, man, the plant looks different.

It's doing that because it's changing its genetic expression.

It's making itself actually have the genes to resist that stress, to mobilize a nutrient.

So I get where you're going, right?

But we actually aren't manipulating it.

We're enhancing what the plant can already do.

Um...

I'm not saying it couldn't, but I think that's where, if you look back in the last 50 years of what we've done with biostimulants, it was kind of a one-size-fits-all.

But I think that's where, like, going forward with this stuff, we start to see it more, right?

We've used so many things as a one-size-fits-all, but we've done that with fertility.

I mean, we have herbicide resistance because we use one-size-fits-all, right?
