The aging together and intimacy as you age has its own beauty.
So I think that's the first part.
I think secondly, like even when we look at the scripture
I know this was one of Linda Dillow's favorite verses that she would always talk about.
My my mentor who's in her mid eighties now, that she would she would um read Proverbs five, verses eighteen through nineteen that says, May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth, a loving doe, a graceful deer.
May her breast satisfy you always, and may you always be intoxicated with her love.
She did all the time.
She loved it.
I can still picture her teaching on it.
Um but you know, she would emphasize that word always.
You know, it's not like being intoxicated with each other's sexual love until you hit forty or fifty or sixty.
It was you have to find creative ways throughout every season of life to be intoxicated with each other and to enjoy each other and to enjoy intimacy, even if it looks differently, even if there's things you can't do anymore.
What can you do?
What does it look like to have a sweetness of love and intimacy as you age?
And so that intentionality, I think also as I've learned from Linda Dillow and also I remember doing
a Java podcast years ago with Linda and Gary Chapman and talking about sex and aging.
Yeah.
And so I remember both of them saying, you know, take advantage of some of the medical advances that we have in terms of understanding how our hormones are changing and what helps we might need.
