Well, I think it certainly helps.
Sure.
When we first started, Simon, John was doing pure research.
I was doing pure clinical work.
And for the most part, I was just working with individuals who were very, very seriously disturbed.
Mm-hmm.
people who were suffering from PTSD, who were combat vets, rape victims, heroin addicts, you know, all kinds of things.
And so John had some interest in that, and I had some interest in his research.
But when he began mathematically analyzing things,
So I tried to be interested.
I desperately tried.
And he would explain things pretty well to me.
But, you know, I would catch a little bit of it.
But I would shape the conversation to ask him more about the findings as opposed to the statistical analysis.
Right.
Because that matched up more with my interests.
And eventually, we just, you know, we came together in working together with that research and the clinical interventions we developed.
But we each still had a bit of our own arena about that.
I was more with the clinical interventions.
