Career, very promising, suddenly gone.
What did they do wrong?
They didn't do anything wrong.
I had another patient.
It's kind of sad.
Was at a party on the third floor balcony, third floor US, so second floor for y'all.
Got drunk, jumped from the balcony to the pool, didn't make it to the pool, hit the ground, paralyzed from the neck down.
Both of these people in college, both athletes, both promising careers.
One of them made a huge mistake.
The other one did not.
Right.
And so how do you explain this variance?
So for me, explaining all of the variance that accounts for individual difference.
Sure, we all live in the same world, but we're not the same people.
We're not we don't have the same circumstances.
We don't have the same advantages.
So, you know, just to share a little bit about myself.
Kids fail out of college every day.
Not all of them have parents who are both doctors who can send them to India to spend seven years studying to become a monk, who have parents who can afford their tickets.
I don't have to pay my rent.
