So, you know, preparing and taking time to cook something.
And even in the act of cooking and preparing,
I'm preparing something, I'm smelling it, I'm engaging with it, and my gut and brain can catch up with each other instead of eating and then feeling hungry soon afterwards.
So those little shifts and just taking more of the effort, for me, I think it worked wonders.
Now, you mentioned there that a lot of people do want to lose weight quickly.
Uh there's a few popular weight loss techniques that do the round on social media and Tip Tok.
I'd love to do a quick fire myth busting.
What works and what doesn't.
Hot water and lemon.
Maybe some sort of ritualistic thing.
But um what about raw food diets?
Yeah, I guess, you know, if you compared eating a raw carrot versus a cooked carrot, the raw carrot would have more of the calories locked away because of the fibre matrix, and then you soften it with food and you unlock some of the calories and nutrients, so you'd gain slightly more weight.
So I guess maybe there's something to it there.
Yeah.
Yeah, well, exactly.
Yeah.
Uh we something we mentioned already, time restricted eating.
This is something I am ridiculously excited about, and I've been using it for a while now myself.
We've all got wearables for our sleep, steps, heart rate, but the one thing we don't track, the thing that actually tells you more about your health than almost anything else, is your bathroom data.
And that's why I joined the team at Throne Science.
