We got to take care of ourselves because the people, the grownups up top, they're not doing it for us.
And that's not to say parents, that's to say systemically, we have a problem in this country with how we treat young people.
And that's not news.
So, but they're making changes.
They're asking for it.
So I want to say that 10 years from now, they're going to be managing their stress better.
There's always going to be problems.
Absolutely.
You know, there's always problems in the world, but I think they're going to be better equipped to cope.
Yeah.
So that was another book that... I don't think I set out to specialize in anxiety and depression with tweens and teens.
I don't think that was my initial goal a million years ago when I started this career.
But the more time passed, the more I saw kids just really struggling with regulating their moods, understanding how they were feeling.
And it's normal for
adolescents to experience periods of depression.
There's so much happening in terms of brain development, hormones, massive growth.
Boys are always left out of the equation, always.
