What's the mechanism?
Then I would hear these stories from my patients.
I had people who were on the surgeon's schedule to have a knee replacement.
And after 90 days of keto or carnivore, they'd come back and they were walking with a cane, sometimes two canes.
They didn't have their cane.
They're like, I called the surgeon and canceled that.
Is that okay?
Because my knee doesn't hurt anymore or it's 90% better.
Can I put that surgery off?
And I'm like, heck yeah, you can put that surgery off.
You don't need it unless you're having severe pain.
And I just kept hearing hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of face-to-face people saying, oh my gosh, I never dreamed that it would help this, that, or the other.
And so that's why I'm so just on fire to talk about nutrition and diet and everything I've learned about it is because, yeah, it can literally change your life.
And I've apologized publicly multiple times.
The very first apology, I just took a legal pad and I wrote, I'm sorry in big Sharpie and posted a picture.
Like, I'm so sorry because you're going to make me cry because when I took the oath, I meant it.
And I had been harming people by giving them the ADA medical advice.
I had been making diabetics sicker.
I had been pushing them closer to kidney failure, closer to that retinal detachment, closer to the amputation by the words coming out of my mouth.
I dedicated my life to helping people, to improving their health, and I had literally been harming them.
