Yeah, I'm a board-certified periodontist, which is a dental specialist.

I'm a board-certified practicing periodontist.

So what is that?

You know, when I describe myself, I tell people it's very similar to an oral surgeon.

We actually do a wider range of surgery as a periodontist, typically, than oral surgeons.

And no shade on my wonderful friends.

I got a lot of oral surgeon friends that are amazing.

But normally, oral surgeons will choose a handful of things that they really become excellent at and

And they will focus their field there, whereas periodontists are really full-service oral surgeons.

And, yeah.

My favorite thing to do in my field is full arch dentistry.

That's a hybrid dentistry.

That's when we call it the person's third dentition or their third set of teeth in their life.

First set of teeth are our baby teeth.

The second set of teeth are our permanent teeth, which we hope to keep.

Peridon's first goal is to keep those permanent teeth for your lifetime.

But

Sometimes that doesn't happen for one reason or another, and a person goes into what we call their third dentition.

And that's where, you know, we take out the teeth, we repair the bone, we put the implants in, and we actually 3D print and load teeth the same day, typically.

Yeah, it's pretty life-changing dentistry.
