Pete wanted to be debt-free by 30, and we hit it right on the mark.
So that was big.
So there was a moment, Pete actually picked up a side gig during this whole time.
He got his real estate license and sold a couple houses and eventually tried a commercial real estate.
It didn't work out.
It wasn't a good fit, but he had signed a contract.
And in order to break that contract, he had to pay back some money.
And the idea of going to work
and coming home and handing over this person, it was $2,000, kind of made me sick.
I was like, we've been working so hard to pay off this money.
We paid out, we had our emergency fund, we cash flowed the rest and I said,
I'm never having debt again in my life.
I'm a nurse.
Everything.
It was student loans, personal loans, family loans, credit cards, car loans.

Eight years.
um so in 2017 we bought our first home and our down payment was a family loan of course yes it was so then um in 2018 july 5th 2018 we had our major like a our main pipe in our house flood our house and we have three stories because it's a trial got the whole house i mean it came from everywhere oh god
