So I think it can go either way.
Some women lament the loss of their marriage and blame menopause.
Others say this gave me what I needed to do to leave a relationship that did not serve me.
So assuming she's educated herself, she can now put two and two together and say, something's not right.
This might be perimenopause.
You know, I've looked at my external factors.
Nothing's really changed in my environment.
You know, I had these stresses managed before and it's no longer happening.
You need to find a partner in care, a menopause educated clinician.
So, you know, for in your country, that could be it's usually a GP and doesn't have to be a gynecologist, but it is going to take someone who has sought training outside of the traditional system.
We are not doing a great job in prioritizing women's health outside of reproduction in either of our countries.
So fortunately there's menopause societies with certified, you know, who do certification courses.
There are great resources available online.
I mean, the group that brought me and a few other docs in last year, Carrie Cashel is amazing.
You know, there's so many great practitioners there that are really kind of carving out a really niche practice and really just treating menopausal women.
I mean, at least she tried.
And so that's a step.
Probably five years ago, she would have said absolutely not.
I think this is the beauty of social media, at least for me, is that conversation has really exploded and the clinicians are paying attention.
