I learned that the life expectancy for an autistic person was 36 to 54 years with premature cardiovascular disease and suicide as leading causes.
I was 37 and I had a then four-year-old autistic child.
It was a hard stop.
Like, how is this possible?
Like, nobody knows this.
This was completely unacceptable.

And the model over the past, because we're a toddler nonprofit, we're two and a half years old.
It's really a model of community driven health care.
It's about unlearning a lot of traditional medical practice and like the way that health care services are delivered.
It's really about operating in ways that are good for all humans with a focus on community and giving people a place to belong and to become.

I think probably I've been doing that all my life.
