And uh my son also had a lot of O C D behaviors because of the intense stress of school.

Um, that's what got us started.

And when my daughter was about nine years old, she sat me down.

This is just my daughter in a nutshell and said, Mom, I need to see at least four friends four days per week.

Um that's when I decided to start a little school out of my home.

And that's how Big Minds was born.

So um it started out as a a small home school school where I invited other neurodivergent kids to come in and do schooling with me at home.

And then um

I realized pretty quickly that the whole system isn't gonna work for two E kids.

So I decided, well

You know, it is kind of a social construct, so why am I trying to adhere to something that

really is an imaginary thing that we all buy into but doesn't have to be that way.

I threw it all away and I started from scratch.

Um, I ended up going back and getting a doctorate because I realized if I was gonna try to roll this out.

to the public, I would have to have the credentials to be taken seriously and um

So that's what I've done.
