When I first went in there, I was like diagnosing and judging everyone.

But then I started sort of like looking at myself rather than other people.

And I started looking at myself.

I saw all these character defects that were what made me who I am.

I was like, I don't want these character defects anymore.

I want to try and change that.

And once I had that insight, then I could do something differently.

So at the very start, I could admit I was an addict.

Hi, I'm Michael, I'm an addict.

But I couldn't really accept it.

It was difficult to accept.

But once I accepted that when I put some sort of pill, powder, potion into my body, it set off that compulsion again.

It was like, oh, it's much easier not to use.

I realised that my addiction was bigger than me and I needed something bigger than that to beat it because I couldn't do it myself.
