Okay, so many issues with this.
First of all, to everybody else's embryos who are in here, they're getting ambient air exposure every time the lid gets open, right?
The temperature is changing a little bit.
Also, you know, hopefully your lab has a second person so there's, like, less human error in checking things, right?
And so, again, a super busy lab isn't always the best thing if they're not staffed in their embryology suite well enough because there's a lot of human error.
And then sometimes those little labels can fall off or the handwriting is so hard to read.
So more modern labs use, you know, obviously printed labels, barcoding, different storage systems that are, we'll say it's more like a vending machine type of storage where things have their own slot so everything's not exposed.
So it's worth saying, like, how are they stored?
How are they labeled?
And clinics should be very upfront with that information because that's your reproductive tissue.
You deserve to know that it's going to be safe, right?
Underlying this entire discussion.
Egg freezing or IVF, like you're going to take hormones.
It's expensive.
We're going through a procedure.
At the end of the day, we're putting hope and opportunity into the freezer for the hope that in the future you can have a family that you desire.
And there's a lot of ethical questions.
Technology advances really quickly sometimes.
