Yeah.

And we got to this idea that the only thing you couldn't die of in this country was COVID-19.

Now let's look at some of the other things that we get worried about.

We closed schools again last year because there was supposed to be some asbestos in play sand.

You remember that?

Yeah, yeah.

I don't think there was that much asbestos in the sand.

And I'm pretty sure as a respiratory physician, the lifetime risk of a kid developing asbestosis or mesothelioma was pretty close to zero from that.

But we still closed the schools.

So that sort of COVID mentality, you can see playing out in that sort of fear of asbestos.

And then you move very quickly into how the whole country is completely over-regulated and we're dominated by a culture of safetyism.

So it ends up being that

The larrikin, Australian, is a legend and a myth.

And maybe we need to look hard in the mirror and go, do we want to get back to that hopeful larrikin that's built a nation from settlement to over 200 years ago?

And we're one of the most successful nations in the world.

We were.

Were.

to now one of the most, you know, insular, naval-gazing, over-regulated, you know, I'm not talking, you know, I'm not having a go at individual Australians here.

I'm talking about let's have a look at what sort of nation we want to be and let's try and get back to that nation which is, you know,

Let's have a national project.
