Well, it was just, you know, COVID was a virus that the older you got, the worse the inflammation was in the lungs, the more likely you were to have to go to ICU.

And certainly for people who were in their 70s, living at home, you know, retired Australians enjoying their lives as grandparents, I do think there was a material risk of

Of letting that virus into this country, you know, so the border closures before we were vaccinated.

So the border closures were important.

The vaccination program was important, but we overcooked the mandates.

COVID was a risk to healthy elderly Australians, but they were all going to get themselves vaccinated and they did.

close to 9,500% of healthy Australians over the age of 70 were vaccinated.

And they weren't going to lose their job because they were mandated.

They were already retired.

So we were always going to vaccinate our healthy at-risk population and then we could have left the rest to choice.

And I still think most people would have got it anyway.

I think we knew enough at that point to know that they were at risk and that if they didn't get the vaccine, I can't tell you how many, but an unacceptable number of healthy elderly Australians would have lost their lives.

So that would have driven, that behaviour would have driven high vaccination rates.

Yeah, so the quote was $150,000 and it came out in the papers in about March and Paul Kelly said it.

Now, that was the Doherty Modeling, Doherty Institute, and I can with 100% confidence say that those imports were not given to produce a certain outcome.

I cannot tell you what happened with state governments after that.
