No doubt got early dementia because of it.

And they had to work really hard

Did your father die with dementia or from dementia?

He died from dementia and he got it.

He probably started getting it in his sort of mid to late 50s.

Wow.

Awful, awful type of dementia, frontotemporal dementia.

And, you know, we just thought he had really, really bad dad jokes because they didn't make any sense.

But that was the dementia starting.

Yeah.

And it was nasty.

It was like that to anyone who knows anyone with FTD, which has a little bit of an overlap with motor neuron disease, I might add.

is aggression, violence, you lose your inhibitions, and ultimately he lost the ability to speak.

So that was a sort of devastating thing.

But he was a man who never stopped working for his family.

I think there's a difference between anger and courage.

And sometimes they can be confused.

And in the absence of courage, people are going to go towards anger.

And so we lack anyone who's really bold and courageous in Australian politics in terms of a party at the moment.

And I think it's generally accepted that the Liberal Party had nine years of steadily declining courage when they were in power.
