The pit that we're excavating is just over a metre deep, so it would fit into that original pit.

Um so that I would love the idea being that that is the pit it was raised up out of, almost like a a levitating act to raise it up from the pit in which it was it was sourced.

It has.

Um the great thing here in Maury since we set up the Maury project is there is a great community ethos and everybody's very, very interested in the locality.

So we had uh an open day a few weeks ago and we got great attendance at that.

Everybody's really, really interested and we've had various people coming.

um volunteering or you know wanting to volunteer in the future.

So you know it's great to have the locals and the local buy-in because the Mari project is is nothing without our supporters.

So this year we have funding from the Royal Irish Academy for the excavation.

So that's great.

It covers the cost of a day to day um excavation.

But in the broader sense moving into the large landscape over what hopefully will

we will need the buy-in from local landowners, um, you know, that can we go onto their land and do it even just a geophysical survey, not even an excavation.

So it's great that, you know, we've people coming along, they're getting interested, they're getting to know us, and they're saying, well, I might have something on my land.

And would you like to look at it because I find it very interesting that you find it very interesting in this landscape.

So it's great to have that that local uh buy in and interest and it's across the range.

We've had, you know, young kids right up to the elderly people of the area.

And they're very, very good because they have a great knowledge of things that are being lost.

The names of fields that could tell us that there may be something there.

The idea that there was something in a field that is now cleared
