What I made of the meeting today were people understanding that they need to appease to Donald Trump and his ego.
There were a lot of thank yous around the table.
It was far more polite, as you mentioned, that first horrific meeting in the Oval.
It was countries understanding that they need to get Donald Trump on the right side of this.
However, any negotiator knows on the other side of the table, there's someone else who has a vote and that someone else is Vladimir Putin.
And as they were sitting around the table saying, thank you, President Trump, thank you, President Trump.
Vladimir Putin was bombing Ukraine in that moment.
So anything that was discussed today, that's fine.
That's great.
But you have to get Putin on the other side of that table to agree and to take that agreement seriously, because as we know, he has walked away from agreement tables before, namely the 1997 big treaty, the Budapest agreement, where he agreed that Ukraine was a sovereign country.
And then he changed his mind twice.
He was under immense pressure.

said earlier today on threads that he's not amongst friends and he knows it.
You know, the fact that he was bullied into putting on a suit, the fact that yesterday before the meeting, you know, Donald Trump telegraphed to the world that Zelensky had to agree to giving Russia full control of Crimea and that he could never, ever, ever be in NATO.
