You're more likely to have sexual intercourse, for example, and therefore be more exposed to sexual transmissive infections.
And it's hard to see how, really, how removal of pubic hair is going to increase your risk of gonorrhea and so on.
It's going to come from sexual activity.
So you'd have to take that with, I hate to say, a pinch of depilatory.

And then in terms of health consequences, we know that hair and hair follicles
are places where bugs live, bacteria, fungi, viruses, and so on.
In other words, your external microbiome.
And the question is whether removing hair, just plucking it, or shaving it, or indeed laser therapy, is changing the microbiome in a good way or a bad way.
