Yes.

So I think um uh lots of staff in maternity really struggle with this uh uh with with and it's really they're struggling with some of the personal aspects of this situation because, you know, um uh

Obstitutions and midwives are people too.

In my experience, the the staff, the majority of staff genuinely want the best for their parturients, right?

For their women who are laboring and delivering.

And they might feel a variety of different emotions when they perceive that their their advice, their experience, their expertise is being rejected.

Um and Deb, you talked before about

we all bring our own lens to things.

So we all have to do that.

So we all know that when we've just had some terrible outcome, we tend to bring that that that experience to our next few um births because it's fresh in our minds.

It takes a while for that to uh for us to recover.

I think staff really have to um uh allow for that

And be aware of that in themselves.

For junior staff, there's an additional overlay here that they

they fear being seen to have failed, um, in obtaining consent or, you know, in in um the woman conforming to what is expected.

You we need to make it clear that um

that's not the case.

Um it's not it's not a failure.
