This is the essence of Matariki.

Tears, laughter, joy, feasting.

All those human emotions, they come to the surface at this time.

Then we look and think, okay.

negative stuff that's portrayed around the world and starting to be reflected in our society?

Or do we want to be a vibrant, open, loving, diverse, rich, connected community of people who actually care about each other?

Yeah.

That's such a good thing to reflect on too.
