I said, what's your question?

She said, I really need to say farewell to my dad.

I was like, looked at her and I said, what do you think?

Because I need to tell him how much I love him before I send him on his way.

And I was, I don't know.

I think about that every time I talk about that story, it makes me think of the power of practice and ceremony and allowing people to grieve appropriately.

And it's not saying that's the moment you have to do it, but it gives us opportunity because you're not doing it on your own.

So there's this moment when you're all standing there

And they'll call out the names.

It goes completely quiet.

And you're in this moment where it's dark and the cluster and the stars are twinkling.

And then people just start to call out the names of the dead that they're associated to.
