But sadly, some people only change when they've had their episode of burnout because of the idea of it will never happen to me.
Somehow this idea that we're superhuman, it won't happen.
But we are all vulnerable.
It can happen to all of us.
And what's very interesting is often when people have gone through that episode, they re-evaluate things and we know that people then do make changes.
In fact, they grow through the process often.
The only thing I would add is our trainees, people who are looking at us, will see what we do, it's not what we say.
So if we're making conversations about the importance of wellbeing and we're saying wellbeing should be the outcome, it's how we perform, how we keep things going.
If we're not showing it and we're not doing it, then we're letting our trainees down.
And that's not good for us, but it's also not good for our teams because we want a team that can be at the top of their performance, that is not overwhelmed, is not taking too much on.
So I think we have to be really aware that people are watching us, they're seeing how we're managing things, and that's how they'll learn.
It's not from what we're saying.
Yeah, so true.
That's really important.
