I could see that it was coming.
I got prepared for it.
A lot of people didn't, but I could tell that it was definitely going to come.
But these people, they lie to us again and again and again and again.
How many times are we going to believe them?
And you want your doctors being the ones to say, I'm going to step up and do the right thing.
And I could see this coming.
So I said, I'm an emergency medicine doctor.
This is what I went to medical school for.
This is what I went to residency for.
Working in the ER is great, and I get a lot of job satisfaction.
But if there's ever a time to shine as an ER doctor, this is it, right?
I mean, this is like God's...
there's this horrible thing coming and this is what I'm trained for.
Like, this is what I can do.
So I put my skillset to use and that sounds silly, but it's the truth.
And I took that very seriously.
That's what you want in a pandemic.
You want people to step up and do the right thing.
But the next time this happens, whether it's manmade or natural, and there will be another pandemic because we're a global society, nobody's going to do that because why would they?
