actually cash flow for one or for getting selling two calf crops or not selling a calf crop.

So I think we have to be diligent in maintaining that base program that we've come up with.

But then I think we have some room to tweak it based on whether it's a drought and we need to cul deeper or whatever.

One of the things I get people thinking about the least productive cow in a drought is gonna be those young cows.

And so do we take a chance on not having them rebreed?

So then we got another calf crop we're not gonna be able to get full value for.

So that's kind of controversial when you go s t telling somebody to sell their young replacement stock.

But if you're looking at trying to have a calf to sell out of every cow over these next two or three years in this good market.

Maybe you need to think about that or find another place for those cows to go.

Maybe even a lease operation or something else.

Either take the young ones or take some of the older cows and spread your risk a little bit in that scenario.

Oh, that overvalued that's an interesting one.

A lot of times I think we overvalue the genetic merit of cows.

Just because she'll produce a high marble in calf, it doesn't mean that the weight's not there and all these other things that are necessary.

And one, having a live calf every year, that's the biggest factor.

So I do think we can overvalue that a little bit, maybe keep some cows that are not quite at the top as far as pounds weaned and that kind of stuff.

May not cycle and rebreed in a timely fashion.

I think, and I probably get in trouble saying this, but we get hung up on color sometimes.

I realize there is value to that, but are we sacrificing some good

good cows because they're not the right color.
