I have lots of words for them.

I don't think it's safe to say them across the airwaves.

But you know, these are the hollow people who, as I said, they work on whims and vibes and a lot of hand movements and smoke and mirrors.

But when you really want to ask them deeply how things should be done, what crisis was averted.

They can't tell you.

They're always about the end product, but not about the journey to get there.

And very often what happens with high performers.

The output is not so important.

As I said, it's the impact and the outcomes.

And one of the reasons they don't get noticed is because they prevent a crisis.

And we don't see the fires that were prevented.

We only see the fires that were put out.

And very often when people are putting out a fire, they then say, Look at me, look at me, look at me at what I did.

When really what you want to do is look who prevented the crisis and how much did that save us in terms of time and money and resources?

Those are the people that you really want to look at.

Absolutely.

And in fact, every time I see this one line on LinkedIn, I roll my eyes.

I'm humbled and excited to announce.

Yeah, you might be excited, but I don't think you're too humble.

Um, but there's a better way to do it.
