You know, through my local TD, who I'd like to acknowledge, she's junior minister, Marian Harkin.
She, on my behalf, has contacted Minister Jim O'Callaghan on multiple occasions.
And he, you know, I don't know whether he turns a blind eye to it or whether or not they consider this something important enough.
But one would imagine that, you know, someone has come up to you for something multiple times.
So that should tell you it's self-reflecting that, you know, it needs to be dealt with.
So they haven't really come back to me with an explanation.
And, you know, they have this thing called the Immigration Service Portal.
And I put up on my wife's behalf a long sort of just how I'm feeling really and what this process has done to us.
and still no response it's 18 days now yeah and then i've been backing that up with emails and you know messages and all that and they still haven't like not even a phone call an email anything they have responded to minister marion harkin but they just send the standard response which i know for the last year now that the application
was dispatched from the Irish consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, and reached Dublin on the 13th of March, 2025.
And then after that, nothing.
There's no update as to where the application is.
I don't think so, 100%.
I know the point you're trying to make and I know cases where people of pure Irish descent, it could be a John Smith or whoever, marries someone in India or China or Japan or wherever.
And, you know, they're in Ireland within a month's time, you know, within a few weeks.
And, you know, a month would be considered for them, you know, a time long enough.
But that's just standard, you know.
But this isn't routine, CiarΓ‘n.
This is just ridiculous.
Like, I don't even know if my application is physically there, you know, that there hasn't been any response for such a long time.
