And so here's the problem.
Without having that emotional dysregulation component to it, what's going to happen is that when people have these episodes of emotional dysregulation, which is all the time, that's when physicians, because this is what their tools are being given to them, that's when they're like, this is anxiety, this is depression.
And that's when they're getting put on medications or being treated for things that don't actually apply.
And you'll see with this common thread of being a perfectionist and being an overachiever, a lot of that is because you're like, if I do so well, I will not get rejected.
I will not get criticized.
I will be immune from this stuff.
Yes, I guess.
I'm just going to back away.
So this isn't even an option for me.
All.
All.
But like, if you look at those patterns, right?
and you are trying to discern that, like what's anxiety, what's OCD, what's like looking at what triggers that and what is happening, what is that neurological response to that?
I think that you can clearly say, okay, well, I think this is rejection sensitive dysphoria.
And now that you've done that kind of retroactive work and you're like, okay, I know I have ADHD and it's far more likely.
I think you can make that extrapolation.
Did you ever, and this might be an overshare, so you don't have to answer.
Did you ever try anxiety medication?
It's wild.
Wild.
