She learns Greek so that she can translate the Bible from its original so that she's looking at it from a feminist perspective.
It's like it's a really extraordinary, actually extraordinary piece of work.
So that takes up a considerable amount of her time.
She also has formally joined the Theosophical Society.
She gives a lot of talks at different Theosophical Lodges.
And she is also engaged in vegetarianism.
She becomes a vegetarian at the turn of the 20th century and she becomes involved in movements like that.

Its idea is to combine religion and the trade movement, essentially, into these kind of principles.
So she gets involved in all of these kind of activities.
So it's much more spiritual, I suppose, in the last few years.
She has to retire essentially over to Hampstead in London because at that stage her health has deteriorated so badly.
So it's there that she dies with Esther Roper by her side.
And it's a very, you know, even Esther Roper's description of her death is extremely moving.
And you can see the connection between these two women, that this has been their relationship for the last 30 years now.
She is then buried in the local church in Hampstead.
There is a single plot with Celtic cross and an extract from Sappho's poetry on the headstone.
And they had already agreed that when Esther died, she would also be buried there.
So Esther Roper is now buried in that same.
So it's quite significant when you see the gravestone as well, that it's this single plot with this extract of Sappho's poetry.
