and campaigning for women essentially that were despised generally, people who were barmaids, flower sellers, worked at coal mines.
And these women were seen actually as not the type of people you wanted to mix with really.
And she is very devoted to them.
She's also crossed the boundaries of her country because she's now an Irish woman living in England now.
Whereas in Ireland, she's seen as aristocratic, so essentially British, whereas in England, she's seen as Irish.
So we've got all of these kind of elements as well.
But yes, I think that it is about really undervaluing the work of the women that she was committed to.
So that's something as well.
Absolutely.
And that's an area actually that fascinated me because initially when we start thinking of, you know, these mystic abilities and her involvement with the Theosophical Society and people have associated that with the literary circle and Yeats and George Russell and all of these.
But actually it started when she was a very young girl.
And we can see it in Lizadelle House background, the family that she was from.
They were very interested.
Her father used to hold seances at Lizadelle House.
Her younger brother claimed that there's a story that he spoke to and saw one of the coach boys at the back halls of the house.
But actually, the boy had died that morning.
So there's all of these kind of that she's been brought up with.
And she's a firm believer that there is a sense, there's an afterlife, there is a way of connecting through.
And certainly Constance did as well.
And they both firmly believed they had a telepathic connection.
