Oh, it's a pleasure.
Thank you, Emma.
I would say to start with, we always welcome any focus on women's health.
You know, we know that women have been underserved for many years.
We know that gynecology is one of the worst hit specialties and in many areas, including where I am up in the northwest, we see wait lists of around.
uh twelve to eighteen months sometimes before patients are seen.
So these are incredibly long waiting lists.
patients are really suffering while they um wait to be seen and and and many of these issues as we'll talk about in due course can often be dealt with in the community.
By colleagues such as myself, GPs of an interest in women's health, AMPs, uh other healthcare professionals.
So we welcome any focus, first and foremost.
In answer to your question, what do we think are are the challenges?
Well
You raised the issue of medical misogyny and women being dismissed, and of course that's important.
With one point five million staff that the NHS has, there's always going to be a need to do things better.
And there's always going to be a need to call out any of that happening, any misogyny, any dismissive attitudes towards y you you'll have seen some of the the the campaigns such as not just a period, all of these things and and issues such as menopause, endometriosis, all these other things coming to light.
So
I would acknowledge that that's important.
But I would say in my experience, you know, having been a a G P coming up to twenty years and qualified as a doctor coming up to twenty five, the main challenges of war around the system.
the lack of funding, the lack of infrastructure to deliver these services out in the community, where we know time and time again
government's own cost benefit analysis and and many similar reviews have have shown that if we bring these services out into the community, it's better for women, it's more joined up holistic care.
