And so the work that Clarence is doing with Dr. Brewer is unbelievably good because there's two issues with minority populations.
One is health disparity.
You know, your zip code.
In fact, the new prevent risk calculator, it can include zip code you put in and it will adjust your risk for your zip code.
And the second thing is health literacy, meaning that
You know, if you don't understand about the importance of taking care of some of these issues like blood pressure and what can lead to high blood pressure, then you really don't don't you know, you don't really address it appropriately.
And the more the earlier we learn that in life, the better.
Well, I used to call it the man thing.
If a man could just ignore his risk factors, like his blood pressure or his smoking or his drinking or his lack of sleep, he didn't need to worry about it.
And I actually found out they have a name for it.
It's called the health belief model.
If you don't believe something is bad for your health, you don't have to pay attention to it.
And that's like sticking your head in the sand.
And the other one we didn't talk about was dementia.
Higher blood pressure leads to dementia, you know, or this forgetfulness that none of us want to have.
So these things are really, really important.
