You know, most blood pressure is not genetically driven.
It is lifestyle driven.
And what do I mean by that?
Well, you know, the sodium we take in, which is everywhere now, you know, post COVID, we're eating about three and a half to four grams of sodium a day.
We should be eating about two grams of sodium a day or 2000 milligrams.
And so I tell people to get the Yucca app, Y-U-C-C-A.
You use your camera, you aim it at a barcode on the food you're buying, and it will tell you what's in it.
It also works for cosmetics, you know, because you can absorb things through your skin.
It'll tell you exactly how much sodium is in it.
And that helps you keep your sodium down.
And believe me, the sodium is everywhere.
The second thing is physical activity.
Physical activity is so
Important to lower blood pressure.
One minute of going on the stairs, say vigorous activity, going up a flight of stairs will lower your blood pressure significantly.
Obstructive sleep apnea.
About half of all people with high blood pressure have obstructive sleep apnea.
About half of the people with obstructive sleep apnea have high blood pressure.
