So all you have to do is pour it in fast enough to force that water over the hump, and then siphoning will take care of the rest.
It'll suck all the water out of the bowl of the toilet.
Well, it won't overflow.
It'll just leak.
It'll drain over the hump.
It needs to go enough that you maintain the plug, right?
It's blocked in the edge.
Yeah, because it's blocked.
So if it's not blocked, it'll just leak over the edge and never create that siphon effect.
So you just got to do it.
It's not that hard.
You just got to do it fast enough that a full plug of water goes over the pipe and then creates that siphoning effect behind it.
So theoretically, a river shark could be in your toilet.
It would have to be very small.

I didn't appreciate the critical aspect of the siphon effect until I had to trigger it without flushing the toilet.
Just trigger it by dumping water into the bowl.
Doing the bucket flush.
No one had to pee in the woods.
