Okay, so I could not find any term that combines efficiency and energy density into one term.

But just to clarify a couple of things, we often refer to energy density, but there's actually two terms here that are relevant.

Energy density is energy per volume.

as the term density implies, right?

So it's how much energy is stored in one gallon of or one liter of gasoline or a one liter volume of lithium ion battery.

That's energy density.

For cars, it's not that critical because, you know, the batteries, I mean, battery sizes are a thing, but it's not that much of a limiting factor.

The perhaps more important is specific energy.

Specific energy is energy per mass.

And that's important because we don't want it to be too heavy.

It's like how many kilograms of gasoline or battery are you dragging around?

That's also much more important when it comes to things like rockets, where the fuel equation comes into play.

So anyway, we tend to use the term energy density to refer to both really energy density and specific energy, meaning just the overall density of the energy.
