Well that that's a nice that's a nice segue into my first question because my first question actually connects with, you know, the Y Theory project, right?

So my question really I wanna start off with and kick us off with is, you know, you've been talking about Lacarnian psychoanalysis and continental philosophy, which I'm very interested in myself.

Um and you're bringing bringing it to tr or if you like, kind of applying it to popular culture.

Well over two hundred episodes now.

So so so what makes you believe, you know, concepts like the object petite art, the real, the Hegelian dialectics could uh illuminate everything from Christmas films, um, to television episodes, you know, so it's like I I'm amazed you can do it, but you do it.

But what makes you think that these concepts are uh applicable in such a way?

I I like you I like your answer because it's very European slash continental.

You are right to say like the whole notion of application to continental philosophy and a European, you know, kind of thinker would be what?

What are you talking about?

This is how how can you apply a philosophy, you know, and and I agree with what you're saying.

I I but I I do think it's a unique approach, but I think it it's an approach that works very well.

I I I I I I I mean I I find it very fascinating how you do it and uh I find it infinitely um, you know, kind of thought provoking.

Now, I have got a follow up question today, which relates to theory.

And and uh I've been at higher ed, you guys have been at higher ed for a while now, but why do you think theory and y of all places where you think theory would be done very well, you think it would be in higher ed.

But my experiences are is the actual contrary to that.

Why do you think people are fearful of theory in general and why is it so poorly
