What's your birthday?
Did you leave the cap off on your face too?
You know, just like turning everything into a bit of an experiment.
Cool.
Yeah.
So I think, you know, growing up in an environment where curiosity and experimentation are sort of everyday activities trains your mind to think that way.
I think it just takes experience, right?
You just have to do little experiments.
One of my favorite things I learned teaching was with my colleague Alberto Savoia, who has a book called The Right It.
And he helps people do tiny little experiments to test their ideas.
You don't want to do experiments that are just going to, like, if they don't work, you're going to...
lose all your money, lose your leg, right?
You want to do tiny things.
And how do you do tiny things?
He calls them pretotypes, right?
A prototype tests if something will work, but a pretotype tests if it's the right thing to be working on.
And so there are lots of ways to do some really, really fun pretotypes to test things in your own life.
You know, let's imagine, so my son and daughter-in-law and our new grandbaby live in New York.
Well, I think, oh, should I move to New York?
It's like, well, I don't need to move to New York.
