I want to pursue this dream of like, I think that I can get out there and try to use what I've learned to try to help millions of people and make this information publicly available. So that was the choice that I made. Now, with that in mind, I feel that there is an opportunity that exists for all physicians to take a step back and ask the question, is there a better way for us to do this?

So this is a question that I'm constantly asking. And it's not just in how I present things with social media or doing a podcast. It's also like creating a clinic where I'm going to interact with people and try to guide them personally to health outcomes.

Peter Attia has done this, where basically he has healthcare version 2.0, which is conceptually what I'm talking about right now, where he's stepping back and saying, our current system is broken. I'm going to do it a different way. We're going to see what happens.

I have many friends that are in the business who are not public figures that are looking at how can I take a step back and create something different that will help people to achieve their goals. The system is forcing this on us because when you squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, at some point things break and they pop. And so you force doctors into a position where they have to look elsewhere.

And that's what's currently happening. But I think that what ultimately is going to happen is that pressure is going to lead to the creation of new opportunities that could be good for us.

I think constipation is epidemic in the United States. I think there's way more people who are constipated than they even realize it. They manifest it with bloating. Irritable bowel syndrome was about 20% or 25% of the people who came through the door. Acid reflux is very common.

The number one most prescribed drugs in America are Nexium and Protonix and Prilosec and things like this, which are the drugs that we use to treat acid reflux. So we know we have a problem there because those are three of the top 10 drugs there. And then health conditions like... inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, microscopic colitis.
