And so a child is growing up inside that environment.

And the documentation challenge is that mothers believed that they had no way to register their children for birth certificates because the father's signature was necessary.

Now when the child didn't have

a birth certificate, it meant that they couldn't get registered for basic services, education, nutrition, or health.

And these children are already so vulnerable, but take into account now if if their age is not even documented, it's just that much easier for a predator to come and recruit them.

at a very young age.

They and they don't have other options.

They don't have the protection of being in these in school.

And so um this is a huge vulnerability.

And actually Freedom Fund figured out that there was a uh they call it a loophole, but there was a provision in the law that allowed for a different documentation process.

It just needed to be socialized.

And so s Freedom Fund's partners socialized this.

And in the course of about six months or so they were able to register over four hundred children.

So this this was to me very stunning.

And it just shows that's four hundred children who have

very important protection who can exist in the the in the formal institutional way that the state has laid out for them.

Um, and so I think that that does show both sides of this.

One the vulnerability, but also I'm always excited about solutions.

That is a solution.

That is something we can do.
