That happened in college.

Not to me.

Yeah, the good old days, the 90s.

90s when you get away with that stuff.

Yeah, it's not apples to apples, right?

I mean, if you compare the statistics of any position now with what it was 40 years ago, it's quite a bit different.

But the game has changed.

The style of play has changed.

Here's what I think is kind of interesting that's happening with quarterbacks, actually, is that maybe the touchdowns are going up, but I think the overall yardage is going down a little bit.

And I attribute that to the new kickoff rules.

The starting field position is actually 10 yards better now than it used to be because of the new kickoff rules.

And so what does that mean?

That means you have 10 fewer yards to go on a drive.

Well, if you average 10 possessions a game, that's roughly 100 less yards that you're having to go.

Well, just subtract that from the overall yardage.

Now it's going to result in more points, potentially some more touchdown passes.

But I think if you look at the statistics, even with 17 games,

games now, you know, guys aren't throwing for the same number of yards that, you know, 10 years ago we were.
