Oh, okay.

Well, it's sort of insidious, but I think the park shutting down for the pandemic really gave Disney this out to say like, oh, there are these things that we've kind of wanted to implement but couldn't figure out how.

And now that the parks are shut down and we have to kind of do a hard reboot.

Oh, it bought them some time to think about this stuff.

And it gave them the opportunity to implement some of these more kind of nefarious things like park reservations, which were never a thing beforehand, and kind of redoing the whole model of the annual pass.

You know, Disneyland is really the most visited regional theme park in the world.

You know, nobody wants to say that, but it's really true.

And it's really fueled by local visitors.

Absolutely.

You know, people who will pop down after lunch and, you know, ride a couple of rides and buy a T-shirt and go home.

I mean, these are really the people that can prop up the parks when there's some kind of fallow periods.

So, you know, I feel like they kind of turn their back on those folks in an effort to maximize ticket buying at every turn, whether it's

Adding in a stay at one of the hotels or adding in Lightning Lane and even things like I did a story about dynamic pricing and how dynamic pricing is coming to the theme parks.

And it's really an opportunity for them to literally change the price of a ticket based on the time of day.

you want to go, which is just insane.

It's going to be like an airline kind of model.

Well, that's a great question.

I mean, there was a great New York Times story last year or the year before about how many families go into debt just going on one of these vacations.

And I really sympathize with them because they are hugely expensive.
