It reminds us of all the stories that we heard growing up from our family, from our friends, all about the communist era of Albania and, of course, everything like the post-communist years as well.
I absolutely loved how you wrote it.

I thought that was really funny because there's this... I mean, I can imagine maybe it's the same in Albania, but we have this saying in Kosovo that is, which is, what's at home, the kid's going to tell, basically.
And so, you know, there's so much...
A reference as well for me while reading it that I felt a real closeness to it.
And I was born in 1995.
And the first time when I went to Kosovo to live, it was in 2006.
And then the first time I actually went to Albania was when I was 12 years old.
And I remember going and like the beaches were so beautiful, but it wasn't built up.
It's like completely different to how it is now.
And, you know, everything was so striking and wonderful.
And my brother was about two or three years old at the time.
And there was like no restaurants, no bars, no nothing nearby.
And my mom was like, okay, we got to find somewhere to live.
to to get food and obviously i think that's that's changed a lot um and especially i guess given the current situation albania it could change a lot more but i'd love to talk to you about that a little bit more later um but can we start with a brief history of albania
