So now I'm trying to reconcile, because no one tells us that the cops are killing black women.
We only talk about black men, right?
And so the whole point of the joke was me processing getting that information in my early 30s.
And so it's me being like, whenever you're in a relationship with a black man, you're in a struggle competition.
Because you can say to him, man, I gotta tell you about this racist shit some Karen said to me at work.
And he's like, man, you know what it's like to be a black man in America?
I get killed by the police.
And you're like, well, shit.
I can't say nothing else now.
